Halifax are making changes to their online banking service which will distrupt normal service between Friday the 9th of September and Monday the 12th of September 2011. For the period it won’t be possible to make immediate payment through Halifax online banking or using Halifax Telephone banking. Normal service will resume early Monday morning.
The banking system upgrades are part of Halifax’s commitment to providing easy-to-use online banking that is secure.
If you find that Halifax online banking immediate payments are unavailable or not working during this period it’s because of the upgrades.
If you’ve planned to make any payments on the 9th, 10 or 11th of September bring them forward before the upgrades or if they’re not urgent pay them on the 12th. Halifax apologise for any inconvenience and thank customers for their patience

Looks like Halifax and Lloyds banking systems are finally being merged together. Wouldn’t fancy being on their on-call list that weekend!
